FUNERAL PRAYER LEADERS TRAINING

This training is for those members of Funeral teams who will lead times of prayer before a Funeral, lead Funeral Services and the Rite of Committal at the grave or crematorium.

It runs over 3 modules on Monday evenings in March: 3rd, 10th, 24th.  A certificate of completion is available to those who complete ALL 3 modules.

Module 1 includes:

• Communal Prayer
• Role of Leader
• Leading Communal Prayer

Module 2 includes:

• Prayers after Death
• Gathering in Presence of the Body
• Vigil
• Transfer to Church
• Rite of Committal

Module 3 includes:

• Christian Symbols
• Funeral Liturgy outside Mass
